Kaji Shrestha is a distinguished Nepali journalist specializing in economic and cooperative journalism. He is currently serving as the Editor of Bittiyapost.com and has been actively involved in journalism since 2065 B.S.
Shrestha began his journalism career with Netrawati Saptahik in Dhading in 2065 B.S. Over the years, he has worked with several prominent media organizations, including Aarthik National Daily, Sourya National Daily, Deshantar Weekly, and Annapurna Post National Daily, gaining extensive experience in reporting, editing, and newsroom management. He is currently serving as the Editor of Bittiyapost.com, where he continues to contribute to economic, financial, and cooperative journalism.
Widely recognized for his in-depth reporting and analytical approach, Shrestha has established himself as one of Nepal’s leading journalists in the fields of economic and cooperative affairs. His reporting has consistently focused on finance, cooperatives, economic policy, and development issues.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to journalism, Shrestha received the NCBL Cooperative Award from National Cooperative Bank Limited for his exceptional coverage of cooperative issues in the national media. In 2020, he was honored with the prestigious Journalist Award by NEFSCUN. In 2081 B.S., he received the National Journalism Award from the National Cooperative Federation of Nepal for his remarkable contribution to cooperative journalism.
Beyond his journalistic career, Shrestha has played an active role in strengthening professional media institutions. He was elected as an Executive Committee Member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Bagmati Province Committee, in 2078 B.S., and was elected Secretary of the committee in 2081 B.S.
He is also a founding member of the Nepal Cooperative Journalists Society and has served two consecutive terms as its Chairperson, making significant contributions to the promotion and professional development of cooperative journalism in Nepal.
Shrestha holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. With over a decade and a half of professional experience, he continues to contribute to Nepal’s media sector through credible, ethical, and impactful journalism, particularly in the areas of economic and cooperative reporting.
